When a crime takes place across different jurisdictions or when a criminal commits another crime in another area, discord or even conflicts can arise between the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, local police stations, and the prefectural police headquarters. To rapidly address these kind of situations, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has created the Wide Area Mobile Investigation Division. The unit is housed in a mobile truck and consists of 7 detectives.

Momoko Nagazawa (Tao Tsuchiya) is a passionate detective and a member of the Wide Area Mobile Investigation Division. She doesn’t flatter anyone when speaking and she will confront anyone without fear. Tsubomi Kizawa (Shori Sato) is a rookie detective from the violent crime division, but transferred a month ago to the mobile investigation team because of mistake he made. His large vehicle license led to him being picked up by the wide area mobile investigation division.
