Synopsis

This special drama takes place during the New Year of 2026. Ichiro sends Kiyoshi back to the summer of 1987 to prevent Junko and Yuzuru’s fateful meeting, but destiny refuses to be altered. Meanwhile, Ichiro travels to January 1995, the day before the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake – where an unexpected visitor awaits.
In 2026, Nagisa, now assigned to the news division, becomes captivated by Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly member Taira’s political ideals. However, her outspoken support draws uneasy reactions from those around her, as she confronts a society where “political opinions mean instant backlash.” Outraged, Nagisa demands, “Can’t we talk seriously about politics?”
When Ichiro later leaps to 2036, he discovers Junko being nominated as Japan’s first female Prime Minister. But behind her rise lies a shocking incident linked to Nagisa – prompting Ichiro to take a drastic, world-changing action.
