Plot

After Domyouji leaves for New York, Makino hasn’t spoken to him for a full year. Rui and the F4 members try to get them together again by traveling to New York for the Christmas holidays. But when they meet Domyouji he has changed into a totally different person. The group returns to Japan. Domyouji some time later returns to Japan, while Rui starts to develop feelings for Makino …

1. Based on manga series “Hana Yori Dango” by Yoko Kamio (published from 1992 to 2004 in Japanese shojo manga magazine Margaret).
2. The original Japanese title “Hana Yori Dango” or “”Boys Over Flowers” is a pun on the Japanese old saying “Dumplings over flowers,” referring to people who attend Hanami (flower festival), but instead of enjoying flowers, focus more on the materialistic side of the event such as getting food and buying souvenirs.
